faith at work Faith at Work

Faith at Work is for Christians and people intrigued about Christianity.

We want to explore how to apply Christian values to our lives, especially our working lives. About living wisely.

It is about Faith in our working lives -whatever work means for us - AND about Faith at Work -what it means in practice.

You can find some resources here

Some quotes to reflect on....

"Seek the wefare of the city" (in our case Guildford town and the places we live and work).  Jeremiah (Old Testament prophet).

"Do justice, love kindness and walk humbly before your God" Micah (Old Testament prophet)

and some words from Jesus "be salt and light".

We plan to add to our Common Ground Guildford Faith at Work programme in summer of  2018, and continue to add to the web resources during 2018. This will include promoting and partnering with other organisations.

This builds on the related Guildford Diocese Conference in October 2017 and the June 2017 "Prayer at Work" event run which had a keynote address by the Post Office CEO Paula Vennells. On 16 September 2017 from 09.30 to 12.30 the Practical Spirituality event led by Dermot  Shean an International Trade Advisor helped us explore 24/7 Christianity in a changing world
