Creative Arts Events
Our creative arts events overlap with our work to keep St Mary's open. The church has extended opening hours for creative arts events with support from Common Ground Guildford. View our gallery from past events here. Our aim is to help people "catch a glimpse of God" working in collaaboration with St Mary's and other Guildford churches. Please watch this space for information.
There are regular monthly organ recitals at St Mary's Wednesday lunchtime. You can find out more information on the htsmguildford.org website and at St Mary's.
"Imaging the Story" is at St Mary's exhibiting artwork from a summer school run by Karen Case- Green from Millmead Baptist Church. The last day is Thursday 9 November, opening hours 11.00 -15.00. It follows the contours of the salvation story through the lens of the arts. The artists were invited to "image" the story, putting the visual art and poetry in conversation with the Biblical narrative.

On 11 November from 10:00 to 17:30 our one day Arts Festival involves about 12 Christian artists and crafters from in and around Guildford who will be available to talk about their work. This will be available for purchase and there will be music to hear and a tea shop. A copy of the flier can be downloaded here.
Many of the churches and the cathedral provide venues for events during Guildford Book Festival, the Big Draw, Guildford Summer Festival and Guildford Fringe. God has all the best music and we also hope to keep you up to date about musical events hosted at partner churches.
