Our creative arts events aim to help people "catch a glimpse of God", working in collaboration with St Mary's and other Guildford churches. View our gallery from past events here.
During Lent there are two reflections series based on the Creative Arts.
The St Mary's Lent series is based on "Going Home" a book with songs and prayers by Garth Hewitt and paintings by Daniel Bonelle (left).
The Cathedral Lent series is called "Faith and Arts". See the Lent and Easter pages for more information.
St Mary's is hosting an exhibition "Journeying through Easter" with the Easter Walkway and paintings by Danielle Bonelle from "Going Home".This takes place the week before Easter (Holy Week).
On 11 March Mothering Sunday at 6pm St Mary's hosts "There is something special about Mary" which includes hymns, bible readings, poems, reflections and choral music. Led by Revd Sarah Hutton with In Nomine, Gillian Lloyd (organ) and conducted by Sebastian Forbes.
Check out church websites and the tourist office for information on concerts before Easter including at the cathedral, St Nicolas, Holy Trinity and St Marys.
There are regular monthly organ recitals at St Mary's Wednesday lunchtime. You can find out more information on the htsmguildford.org website and at St Mary's.
The cathedral Lent exhibition is about the Way of the Cross, Jesus' journey to his death. You can find out more information here.
Many of the churches and the cathedral provide venues for events during Guildford Book Festival, Music Festivals, the Big Draw, Guildford Summer Festival and Guildford Fringe. God has all the best music and we also hope to keep you up to date about musical events hosted at partner churches.
